Charter boats will be provided by Mc
Laughling Boat Works, Inc. and Riotecna
Srl.
Charter of the boats through the OC will be mandatory per IODA rules.
Each boat is equipped as follows:
- One measured hull, including properly executed measurement book, all required
class affixed hardware, 3 buoyancy units, ratchet block and single block.
- One set of foils
- One set of Optiparts Black Gold spars
- One mainsheet with becket block and safety shackle and one painter of the
proper lenght.
- Set of padded toe straps.
- Trolley for launching.
Sails shall not be supplied. Competitors may bring and use their own foils,
spars and fittings. Competitors shall not modify the supplied boat and/or equipment
or cause them to be modified in any way except that:
- a compass may be tied or taped to the hull or spars;
- wind indicators, including yarn or thread, may be tied or taped anywhere
on the boat;
- hulls, dagger boards and rudders may be cleaned, but only with water;
- adhesive tape may be used anywhere above the water line, and
- all fittings or equipment designed to be adjusted may be adjusted, provided
that the Class Rules are complied with.
Charter boats fees
Charter boat fees are as follows (per boat):
Championship dates (July 14th to July 25th) USD 400
Pre-regatta dates (July 9th to July 13th) USD 100
Charter Boats Damage Deposit
The SYC will collect and hold USD 150 as damage deposit for each chartered
boat. Upon boat return each competitor will be given a release form. The release
will indicate if money should be withheld for lost equipment or damages incurred
by the charter skipper. The form signed by the boat provider's representative
must be presented to the SYC prior to refund of the deposit, less damage fees
assessed by the provider's representative.
Support Boats Charter Fees
Support boats charter fees are as follows (per country):
Championship dates (July 14th to July 25th) Free of charge
Fuel Championship dates USD 50
pre-regatta dates (July 9th to July 13th) USD 180 per day
Fuel pre-regatta dates USD 10 per day
Damage deposit USD 200
Spare parts and yacht equipment
Both providers will sell spars, sailing parts, sailing clothes, boots, life
jackets, foul weather gear, etc.
