Introduction
The Salinas Yacht Club is located in the city of Salinas,
in the Santa Elena Peninsula which is the westernmost tip of the ecuadorian
continental territory. Founded in 1940 by a group of visionaries who loved the
sea, the club has been growing unsteadily since its first club house was opened.
One of the most exclusive clubs in Ecuador, the SYC has witnessed a wide variety
of social and sporting events: Lightning world championships, Optimist southamericans,
Fishing tournaments and so on...
Today, the club has some of the best facilities
to fulfil the needs of the practice of watersports in South America and, at
the same time, it offers the right services and the appropriate atmosphere for
the best social events.
Furthermore, the community of Salinas and its surroundings have been benefited
by the Club's decisive contributions to the developement and enhancement of
the city and its people' s quality of life.
