Los días 23 al 26 de julio, el Salinas Yacht Club será nuevamente la sede del campeonato Mundial Juvenil de la Clase Lightning. Dicho evento, el cual ya fue organizado por el Club hace 12 años, se desarrolla cada dos años y tiene un límite de edad 19 años. Cabe recordar que Miguel Plaza Menéndez, ya ha obtenido el título de campeón representando a Ecuador.
The 2010 Youth World Championship will be hosted again by the Salinas Yacht Club (Ecuador) from July 23rd to the 26th. The event takes every other year and was already organized by the Salinas Yacht Club in 1998. All participants have to be 19 years old or younger.
